KPSL Brings High Drama In Final Series Of Regular Season Thursday Night

The split last night narrows the playoff drama.  Let's focus on the Dodgers, Giants, Dbacks, and Nats.  The series played tomorrow night affect all of them.

Dodgers - Can conceivably still finish as high as #2 seed or as low as #5.  But it basically boils down to this - sweep the Phillies and they snatch the #2 seed and a bye.  Lose any games and they will be #4 or #5.

Giants - The Giants are now officially IN the playoffs.  But where they fit is an open question.  If they sweep the Dbacks, they could get up to the #3 spot (since they hold the tiebreaker vs the Rockies).  If they lose 3 or 4 to the Dbacks, they will be seed #6.

Dbacks - The Dbacks now need just one win to eliminate the Nationals and get into the playoffs.  If they win 1 or 2 games, they will be the #6 seed.  If they win 3, they will be #5.  If they sweep, they could be #4 - although they'll still likely be #5.

Nationals - On faint life support.  If the Giants sweep the Dbacks, the Nats will play a one-game play-in game versus the Dbacks.  All other doors are shut!

This has been one of the most exciting KPSL seasons, and it comes down to one final night and two final series. If the playoffs are half the drama of the regular season, we are going to have a massive highlight reel claiming a champion.
