Padres Outlast Reds To Take 3 of 4 To Start Season

Padres and the Reds opened up the KPSL season in Cincinnati.
Game 1
Padres 7 12 0 10
Reds 4 11 1
Top of the first Friars come out swinging load the bases up, but leave them stranded. First round draft pick Devers hits a double in the bottom of the first putting the Reds up 1-0. Padres pick up 3 in the top of the 3rd on a Ty France 3 run blast. Bottom of the 9th with Tyler Phillips in for the save Brandon Nimmo leads off with a double, followed by a base hit by JT Realmuto to tie the game up. Top of the 10th Tommy Pham gets a pinch hit Double knocking in the go ahead run. Nico Hoerner drives in 2 more for insurance following an Intentional walk to Trent Grisham.

Pablo Lopez pitches 5 scoreless innings, Red leave 10 men stranded. bunch of solo shots.

3-3 Game headed into the 8th inning. Top of 8th Padres load up bases on walks, Kyle Schwarber drives in 2 with a base hit to take the lead. Bottom of 8th Devers leads off with a base hit, followed by a Gino Suarez double. Brandon Nimmo follows that up with another double to tie the game at 5. Padres leave 2 stranded in top of the ninth. Devers has a 2 out base hit in bottom of the 9th, Marte comes up hits an X-chart ball to Dansby Swanson who makes a 2 base error, setting up Gino Suarez to hit a 3 run blast to walk off Game 3.

Pitchers duel between Dustin May & Hurston Waldrep. Matt Vierling gets the big hit in the top of the 8th putting the Padres ahead. Marte hits 2 run bomb in bottom of 8th. Not much offense in game 4.
