Arizona was not thought to make a run in 2024, but they hung on long enough to make some noise before the rails came off officially after the all-star break. They come into 2025 with a similar team as last year, but hope having most of their draft picks in the first seven rounds will be a benefit.
On offense, professional hitter Luis Arraez and emerging shortstop Ezekiel Tovar will lead the team. The addition of center fielder Brenton Doyle will be a welcome addition to go along with right fielder Jesus Sanchez.
The pitching staff is the youngest group this team has had in years as Ryan Feltner, Gavin Stone, Andre Pallante will be asked to lead this staff as they continue to develop. On the back end, Kirby Yates will be the closer and expectations is that he is in top form coming into the season.
The Dbacks are looking to stay in the mix and the first 20-24 games will indeed tell a story if they are going to make a run. Pre-Draft, they may be a few players away to make that happen.
