Pre-Draft Report: Dodgers

Dodgers have been an all-in or sell off team since Joshua Santora has been the owner/GM. Last year, there was no hesitation in selling off and in the end, it became a huge benefit for him going into this draft. LA has the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 10th overall picks in this year’s draft, and with Shohei Ohtani entering the KPSL draft, ultimately makes this offense better.

They come in with a few holes but have done an excellent job in securing 14 of their 15 picks in the first five rounds. The Dodgers have the biggest upside to improving their team in several areas in a draft that is not super deep and with increasing to 12 teams, making higher draft picks that much more important.

The roster features power hitter Austin Riley and some young future stars in Bryce Turang and Sal Frelick. Meanwhile, pitchers Sean Manaea and Yoshinobu Yamamoto look like two starters that will make some impact.

If the Dodgers land on most of their pics, it could very well change the landscape of this team and get back to where they were in 2022, when they made it to the KPSL World Series.
