If I told you you could sit down and roll a Strat series where EACH team would average 3 homers PER GAME, are you in? Howabout 70 runs scored for the series? Could you stomach it? Strap in...here comes the Rockies first home series of the year...Giants at Rockies!
GAME 1
Giants - 3
Rockies - 8
This 11-run affair was the pitchers duel of the series. Fernando Tatis hit a solo homer in the 3rd and the Rocks were up 1-0 when River Ryan toed the rubber in the 4th. And the kid melted down. He'd walk 5 of the next 9 batters, and 2 hits and an error would add to the pain. Rocks score 7 with just 3 hits and go up 8-0. Juan Soto would get a 2-run bomb. The G-men would load the bases in the top of the 9th, but Joe Jimenez came in and calmed it all down.

HR - Soto, Tatis
GAME 2
Giants - 16
Rockies - 9
The Giants smacked eight homers in this one (I thought it was nine last night, but it was "only" eight). Eight! And they actually stopped hitting them by the 7th inning. They had 3 separate players with 2 homers each. They hit more homers than other type of hits (16 hits total). They scored in every inning from the second to the eighth. And yet, when the Rocks scored 3 in the 8th to make it 16-9,. We had 4 homers of our own, and we dreamed of a ninth inning miracle. But no....

HR - Seagar (2), Realmuto (2), Burger (2), Soto, N. Gonzalez, L. Garcia (2), Pederson. P. Smith
GAME 3
Giants - 6
Rockies - 17
The Rockies again maximized the walks we got. We scored all five players who walked in this one. Oh, and we scored them all with a barrage of 7 homers! It's not eight, but we'll take it.

HR - Realmuto, Kim (2), L. Garcia, Tatis, Pederson, Ortiz, Amaya
GAME 4
Giants - 5
Rockies - 6 f10
The best game of the series. Rocks get a 2-run tater from Will Smith in the first and are up 2-0. Ben Brown lets up nothing through 3, and then just an oppo field Jake Burger homer in the 4th. Brown is cruising. And then he hits a giant pothole...maybe a sinkhole...in the 5th. 6 hits in 7 seven batters, including big doubles by Trea Turner and Burger, make it 5-2 Giants. Jake Fraley would score us a run in the bottom of the frame thanks to a Jake Burger error, and we'd tie it at 5 in the 6th thanks to RBI hits off of Corbin Burnes by Tyrone Taylor an Fraley. Then, amazingly, everything went quiet. Innings 7-9 had no real threats. Jose Butto was particularly key for the Rocks - throwing 3 scoreless frames. It will go extras. The Giants go down 1-2-3 in their half of the 10th. Tatis leads off the bottom. Jeff Hoffman throws him a 2-0 fastball....boom! Walk off!
WP - Bender LP - Hoffman
HR - Burger, W. Smith, Tatis
Rocks are 11-9. Giants 9-7. Thanks to Billy for a crazy series.
