Game 4:

Mitch Keller has been a mainstay of the Dodgers rotation for some time. He does not have the highlight reel of other KPSL pitchers, but he is as steady as they come. He needed to go big in his first start after Arizona took them down in the first three. But before we talk about Mitch “The Bitch,” let us talk about the offense. Jonathan India took the first pitch deep off Spencer Turnbull to make it a 1-0 LA lead in the first. Austin Riley would hit a solo shot in the seventh inning to make it a 2-0 game. But on this night, it was all Keller. He would face the first twenty-one batters and each one took a seat back on the bench. The Perfect Game Alert! We go to the eighth inning. Keller would walk Luis Arraez and perfection was snapped. He still had a chance at the no-hitter as he would get the next three batters out. We go to the ninth. Charlie Blackmon would hit one to Turner at first for the first out. Brenton Doyle would step to the plate and pop out to second for out number two. Jesus Sanchez would step to the plate. The roll would be on Keller’s card, a 3BX. The sure handed Austin Riley is a 2e15 and the 20-Sided Roll is a…….. 2!!!! The ball goes through Riley’s legs and Sanchez breaks up the no-no. Porter Hodge would come in and get the last out for the save and the Dodgers victory.

This was a fun series and always great to play Josh. He did not get many breaks and for the first three games, I will admit I caught a lot the rolls. The last game was all Josh and Keller pitched a great game.
