The 2025 KPSL Season had plenty of highlights, but there were only four records broken this season. Below is a list of these accomplishments.
New Record ERA Chirs Sale 1.30 (Old Record 1.74 Jaret Wright in 2006 for the Cardinals). This is very impressive. Sale was on a record pace with the Brewers before being traded to the Giants to be part of their playoff run. This lefty will be in major consideration for KPSL Cy Young Award.
New Record Wins Michael Wacha 14-0 (Old Record Zach Greinke for the Phillies 14-1 in 2016). We ran an article about where Wacha stands in the record books, but he is the only pitcher to hit the milestone and never put a number in the loss column. Wacha was just one reason why the Reds were dominant during the regular season, but his dubs were huge.
New Record Strikeouts Ezequiel Tovar 116 (Old Record James Outman 111 in 2024 for Nationals). Outman aka "The Out Man" broke the record last season and Tovar said "hold my beer". While Tovar hit plenty of doubles this season, he spent alot of time getting rung up by the home plate umpire. While it's not the greatest record to have, his name is in the books.
