KPSL Winter Meetings

Rules Discussed and 2025 Draft Date Determined

KPSL held their annual winter meetings to discuss rule changes/updates and announce the date of the draft.

Some debates were had in many of the topics. Some of the highlights include:

  • Roster sizes would go back to 40 (was increased to 42). Protected players before the draft would still be 25. Removal of last two rounds of draft (implemented on 2024) and will go back to 15 rounds.

  • Pitchers may not face more than 10 batters past his rating. He must be removed when he reaches his limit. An exception to the rule is if the game goes to extra innings and it is the last pitcher available.

  • Any player that roles a ROG injury, must come out of the game. This changes the rule where an option to keep the player in the game and then rolling an injury.

  • Low AB/IP rules. Hitters (100 or less) and Pitchers (30 or less) are restricted to 10% usage during the playoffs.

The KPSL 2025 Draft will be held on Thursday, March 20. We are looking forward to another exciting season.
