The new-look Brewers hosted the Cardinals in the first series of the season for both teams. All games were close and the Cardinals' bullpen proved to be the difference as they took three of four games.
Jordan was plagued by his bullpen in two of his three losses. The last one hurt.
Here we go:
Game 1
Sale and Imanaga were locked in a pitching duel for most of the contest. The Brewers scratched across runs in the third and fourth to take a 2-0 lead deep into the game. Bogaerts and Santana singled home runs to give Milwaukee the lead. Sale was everything he was supposed to be, throwing shutout ball for six and two third innings.
The cardinals threatened in the 4th, but TJ Friedl missed a split homer for the final out. In the 7th, the cardinals had two on with two out by Kopech retired Iglecias to end that threat.
Finally in the eighth, the Cardinals scored two vs. Kopech to tie the game. First Willson Contreras homered and then Winn scored on a fielder's choice.
In the tenth, the Cardinals got a solo homer from Winn (8-16 for the series). Rasiel Iglecias got into trouble in the bottom of the tenth, but Bogaerts with two on to end the proceedings.

GAME 3
Cardinals pitching gave up just two hits as they shut out the Brew crew 3-0. Jake Irvin was terrific, striking out seven over six innings. Jordan got a runner past second just once in the game. Masyn Winn continued his hot hitting with an RBI triple. Nick Castellanos added a home run. The vaunted Cardinals pen gave us just a walk over the final three innings.

Game 4
This one hurt Jordan. He is officially a league member after this one.
The Brewers got a three-run homer from Kevin Pillar and actually led 5-0 after three. The Cardinals struck back with a three-run dong from (who else) Masyn Winn. The Brewers lead held until the 8th when the Cardinals tied the game on Castellanos' two run pinch double off of Puk. In the bottom of the 8th, Parades gave Milwaukee back the lead with a solo tater. Jordan brought in Kopech to nail down the win — and it just didn't happen. Kopech walked the bases loaded and then gave up a game-tying single to Winn. Victor Vodnik then gave up a single to Lee to make it 7-6 Cards.
With the lead, the Cardinals brought in Walker and the Brewers went quietly.
Jordan played well. He still has a lot to learn, but he got off to a solid start.
